Keepsake clips from cameras you already own
The good three seconds, found for you.
Your cameras already recorded the dog stealing the delivery, the raccoon on the porch, the kid finally landing the trick. Those clips are buried in a timeline of hundreds of identical motion events. MomentReel does the watching, keeps the handful worth keeping, and hands you a finished vertical clip.
Add MomentReel from the Ring Appstore, link your account once, and pick which cameras take part.
How it works
Four steps, and you are only involved in two of them.
Link and choose
Connect your camera account once, then pick which cameras take part and what they should look for: pets, wildlife or doorstep moments.
The app goes quiet
Motion clips are reviewed as they happen. Around ninety-nine in a hundred are discarded without you ever seeing them. No feed to scroll, no badge to clear.
A moment lands
When something is actually worth keeping, it turns up in your library with a thumbnail, the camera, the time, and a plain-English reason it was flagged.
Trim and keep
Trim it, crop it to 9:16, add a caption and a music bed, then download the finished file and share it wherever you like.
What you get
A library, not a timeline
- Short clips only, newest first
- Thumbnail, camera, time and reason on every card
- Keep it or bin it in one tap
An editor that fits on a phone
- Trim handles with a live preview
- 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9 in one tap
- Caption and an optional music bed
Faces blurred by default
- Face blur is on for every export unless you turn it off
- Detection only — MomentReel never works out who anyone is
- Original audio is not exported
What MomentReel is not
Worth saying plainly, because it shapes the whole product.
- Not a security app. No intrusion alerts, no monitoring, no alarm behaviour. If you want to be told about a break-in, MomentReel is the wrong tool and will not pretend otherwise.
- Not on-demand recording. MomentReel only reads footage a camera already recorded. If the camera was idle, the clip does not exist and cannot be created.
- Not face recognition. The pipeline works out that a person is in frame so it can blur them. There is no enrolment, no face templates and no external database.
- Not a publisher. MomentReel renders a file and gives it to you. It never posts anything on your behalf, and there is no public gallery or shared feed.
Plans
Billing is handled by the Ring Appstore. Monthly only, available in the United States.

Subscriptions are purchased and cancelled in the Ring app, not here — MomentReel never handles your payment details. There are no annual plans, no coupons and no second free trial, because none of those exist as partner-side mechanisms.
Your footage, your call
Private by construction
Clips belong to the account that owns the camera. There is no feed, no cross-account sharing and no discovery surface. Delivery links are short-lived and signed.
Delete it all, from inside the app
The dashboard has a Delete my account button that erases your clips, your exports, your stored files and the connection to your cameras. No email ticket, no waiting.
Two emails, both transactional
A note when a moment is ready, and account notices such as sign-in codes or a trial ending. No promotional email, ever.
Read the Privacy Policy for the full detail on what is stored, for how long, and who processes it.
